ANTI-PLAGIARISM POLICY

Revista Synapse Internacional (RSI) enforces a strict policy against plagiarism and any form of misconduct throughout all stages of the editorial process. Committed to scientific integrity, the journal ensures that all submitted manuscripts undergo mandatory originality checks using iThenticate software, one of the most widely recognized tools worldwide for detecting textual similarities.

During the initial evaluation, the editorial team reviews the similarity percentage and verifies proper citation of sources. If the report generated by iThenticate indicates a high level of similarity or identifies matches with other publications without appropriate acknowledgment, the manuscript will be either immediately rejected or returned to the authors for correction, depending on the severity of the case.

Revista Synapse Internacional (RSI) follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and applies its principles to address any incidents of plagiarism, duplication, data manipulation, or other forms of scientific misconduct. In severe cases, the journal reserves the right to notify the authors’ affiliated institutions and to impose editorial sanctions in accordance with international standards of ethics in academic publishing.
