Emotional intelligence skills in the school curriculum are a very relevant aspect for current education since they refer to the ability to recognize, understand and manage one's own emotions and those of others. In that sense, emotional education provides students with the necessary tools to understand and regulate emotions satisfactorily in the classroom. The acquisition of these skills in students allows them to experience greater psychological well-being, which is understood as a way to improve their self-esteem, a greater ability to manage stress and have a better relationship with others. Thus, this study is based on a systematic review of existing literature on emotional education and its impact on the comprehensive training of students. The methodology consists of reviewing scientific articles, books and other relevant resources to collect empirical evidence on the benefits of education in different contexts. Based on them, a qualitative approach and a descriptive design are applied that allow contextualized information to be obtained. In conclusion, emotional education plays a fundamental role in the comprehensive training of students. The results reveal that there is a need to incorporate emotional education teaching in educational programs and at all educational levels, so that the development of social skills is encouraged and academic performance is enhanced
